Welcome to the Gulledge Library
Library Information
Our library is open to students and visitors from 7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. each day. Students also visit during weekly circulation times scheduled for the classes. Library lessons support the classroom curriculum and strive to nurture an enjoyment and appreciation for literature and enhance research and problem solving skills.
The library research computers are equipped with the latest on-line encyclopedias as well as other educational multimedia programs. The on-line catalogs enable students to obtain information and locate resources available in the library and also provide access to the Internet.
We are grateful for a wonderful group of parent volunteers who assist in the circulation and shelving of library materials.

Biography:
Hi! I'm Mrs. Ortega and I have been the Gulledge Librarian since 2020. I have 5 children (yes, that' a lot!), two cats, and a gecko. My favorite thing to do is read books and drink coffee on a rainy day. My favorite genre is Fantasy and my favorite book in the library is "Flotsam" by: David Weisner.
Books and libraries are filled with magic. I am so excited to help guide students in discovering new ideas and perspectives. Being a librarian at Gulledge gives me the opportunity to foster a love of reading in every student. I look forward to creating a welcoming space where curiosity is encouraged and learning is fun. It's an honor to support both students and teachers as we explore, imagine, and grow together.
