Special Education

"If we work upon marble, it will perish; if we work upon brass, time will efface it; but if we work upon immortal minds, if we imbue them with principles, with love of others, we engrave on those tablets something which will brighten all eternity."
Our services are student-centered and promote respect, dignity and responsibility. In addition, with a view towards academic success, students will have a safe, educational environment and acceptance of their differences. The expected outcome is individuals who achieve their highest potential and become contributing members of society.

Hi everyone! I’m a proud Plano ISD alum. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to Plano in 2001. I graduated from Plano West Senior High in 2013 and have loved giving back to the community that helped shape me.
I’m incredibly passionate about Special Education and deeply committed to advocating for our students. This year, I’m most excited to welcome back my amazing students and meet the new faces joining our Gulledge family. I look forward to being a supportive leader—not just for my team, but for our entire campus—always showing up for our students, teachers, and families. Let’s make it a fantastic year!

I have been teaching in Plano since 2020. My favorite part of what I do is getting to work with so many different people in our building and district to help my students be successful!
I love to spend time with my husband Brayden, and our daughter Ivy. We enjoy going on walks, swimming, spending time outside, and visiting our extended family in Minnesota!

My husband and I have lived in Plano for the past 22 years, and our daughter is a Plano ISD alumna. She and her husband now live in Brooklyn, New York. I find joy in the simple pleasures of life—baking from scratch, exploring new places through travel, and spending time working in my backyard. These interests keep me grounded, creative, and always looking forward to the next adventure or project.
I have been an educator for over two decades and truly enjoy working with children—they keep my heart young. I especially love being at Gulledge, where I work alongside a dedicated team of educators who are just as passionate about teaching and meeting students’ needs as I am. The sense of camaraderie and joy we share makes Gulledge a wonderful place to learn and work, and I look forward to many more years here.

I am delighted to be a part of the Gulledge Elementary community as a Special Education teacher. I value spending time with my family and caring for our dogs. I am a proud parent of four children, all of whom attended Plano ISD schools, and a grandparent to two grandchildren.
I enjoy traveling and relaxing at the beach with my family whenever possible. Professionally, I find great joy in working with the students at Gulledge and supporting their unique learning styles. I especially enjoy working with small groups and meeting each student at their individual level. Seeing a child gain confidence and succeed after mastering a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding.
One of the things that makes Gulledge truly special is the strong family support for students. That partnership makes this school an exceptional place to teach and learn.
