Special Education

I love to spend time with my husband Brayden, and our daughter Ivy. We enjoy going on walks, swimming, spending time outside, and visiting our extended family in Minnesota!

I’m in my fourth year teaching at Gulledge and my sixth year in Plano ISD. My favorite part of what I do is getting to work with so many different people in our building and district to help my students be successful!

Hi everyone! I’m a proud PISD alum, heading into my 8th year of teaching right here in Plano ISD. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to Plano in 2001. I graduated from Plano West Senior High in 2013 and have loved giving back to the community that helped shape me.

I’m incredibly passionate about Special Education and deeply committed to advocating for our students. This year, I’m most excited to welcome back my amazing students and meet the new faces joining our Gulledge family. I look forward to being a supportive leader—not just for my team, but for our entire campus—always showing up for our students, teachers, and families. Let’s make it a fantastic year!

I am so thrilled to be part of the Gulledge Elementary community as a Special Education teacher. I enjoy time with my family and my dogs! I have 4 children (all PISD lifers), 2 grandchildren, and 3 dogs. I enjoy traveling and spending time on a beach with family!

I enjoy working with the students at Gulledge because of their unique learning styles. I love pulling Special Education small groups and working with each child at their level. The joy a child shows after mastering a difficult concept is so rewarding. One of the best things about Gulledge is the family support for their children. As a teacher that alone makes this school the best place to be!

My husband and I live in Plano for the past 22 years and my daughter is a Plano ISD alumnus. She and her husband now live in the exciting Brooklyn, NY. I find joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it’s baking something sweet from scratch, exploring new places through travel, or spending time working in my backyard. These passions keep me grounded, creative, and always looking for the next adventure or project. I have been an educator for over a couple decades and love being with kids. They keep my heart young.

I love being at Gulledge specifically and work with a great team of educators as passionate as I am about teaching and student needs. I love the sense of camaraderie my team has and the fun we have working with our kiddos. I look forward to many more years of teaching at Gulledge.
